Yes, today I am going to adhere to the name of this blog. I will rave and rant, and rant and rave. What about? About what is quite possibly the worst song on earth. Yes. So today I wake up and as usual I switch to Disney to watch PHINEAS AND FERB (life's lil joys :-D) And today I am super excited because it is Friday and that means the weekend is here (though everyday is a weekend to me) so I do not get to wake up half as early as I do. Then on my way to work I am listening to X-FM as usual and today is actually Fareed Khimani's birthday (I hope he gets super wasted/plastered tonight). So anyway, he decides to play the most horrendous song you ever want to subject your ears to. Seriously, Soulja Boy and Jessica Simpson combined sound like Beethoven compared to this piece of shit (see, it even got me cursing). Okay, let me relieve you of the suspense. The song is no other than......... * drum-rolls*........ Friday by Rebecca Black. I swear I have just puked a bit in my mouth *sic*
I can point out so much that is wrong with this song (I even doubt it fits the criteria) but I will not......... Ah, who am I kidding. I will go right ahead. Okay, before I hate on this ummmm..... Well, this interesting piece of musical torture, I have to admit that I like the beat. It is catchy *shrug* But that is just about it. Everything else is wrong. From the lyrical content (is she being picked up or taking a bus?) to the rhymes to that shriek excuse of a voice. But even before all that, what is a 13 year-old doing singing? Okay, I know America is the land of the brave and blah, blah, blah and everyone has equal opportunities but when I was 13, I was still playing with toy cars (yea, never did like dolls) and Legos. Not going going to recording studios. (BY THE WAY, I made this when I was like 2 :/ I did!)
Then coming to the song itself, I am sure T-Pain and Weezy feel ashamed because the auto-tune does nothing to make her voice (if we can indeed call it that), any better, That annoying shriek is very much irritating and a sore to my ears. Everytime I listen to it I have to clean my ears (yes, it is that bad). She sounds like she swallowed a chihuahua (is Tinkerbell still alive?) and blew one too many balloons.
TERRIBLE. As I was listening to it, I nearly cried. It was that bad. And my face was fixed in this semi-permanent grimace that made mist people think I was constipation or even worse (God knows what could be worse).
Anyway, bottom line is that I am a music lover. And as one, I have listened to a lot of songs. The good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. Rebecca Black's Friday remains the worst I have heard, to date. Period. If you actually Google 'worst song ever', this piece of work instantly comes up. Even Google knows. It is that bad!
And I loved all the jokes made about her. That awkward moment when Rebecca Black walks into a stadium and she is spoilt for choice when it comes to sitting space. Which seat should she take? How about this one.
I can almost bet you my life (okay, so not really :p) that this baby was listening to that horror that is Friday.
Well at least now Jack Black is not the only failed entertainer with the name Black......... Hahahaha, okay, I like Jack. He is stupid but he needs to stop making these flimsy (for lack of a better word) movies he does and make a blockbuster.
Hahaha, okay, that photo was an attempt to make him look like a loser. Did it work? Did it? Did it? Okay bye.
This is what I honestly think should happen to Rebecca, and I am not being malicious. She should pay for crimes against humanity (though I doubt the Hague will even want to listen to her case, too severe). This should be her fate for making our ears suffer.
On the plus side, at least she is not ugly so there is still hope for her in life :) Oh, and before I sign out, I had to post this photo. I just had to. IT IS SO DAMN AWESOME :-D
