Picking Up The Pieces

3-1. That was the final score in the 2010/2011 Champions League Final at Wembley which pitted two of Europe's best sides against each other. The great Barcelona was taking on Mighty MANCHESTER UNITED and quite simply put, they won. To be honest, that loss hurt. It did . It stung like a motherf***er. I was totally broken and I cried. Yes, I shed tears. So many of them.

Why? Because even though Barca are, not-so-arguably, the best team in the world and they played so damn well, we didn't play badly. That is why this loss is so hard to swallow. You see in Rome '09, we played a huge amount of horse shit (okay, that was the last curse :) I am a good gurl ;)) and that is why I felt a bit less like donkey spit then (okay bye), as compared to now. This time around we actually played well and attacked. I will single out one person in particular. ROONEY.

For me he was the best United player on the pitch. He both attacked and defended with the same aggressiveness (Fergie even had to tell him to stop falling back so much and concentrate on attacking). All in all, as much as Barca were top of their game, in my opinion, we did not deserve to lose. They deserved to win but we did not deserve to lose either (confusing, I know). All the same, we lost to the best team in the world. They have amazing players such as Messi and the sensational David Villa (I loved Villa goal, my Gaaaaad *orgasmic*). Oh, and I also attribute our loss to the kit. Now going by recent results, the white kit has always been a bad omen. Most of the times we play in it we either draw or lose. So yes, I blame it (darn you). Guess it has something to do with us being DEVILS and white being the colour of ANGELS :/

Anyway, football aside, I was reading this article (I looove reading) about how people will go to great lengths to say 'NO' without actually saying it. This is probably the part where I rave and rant (pun very much intended, thank you) that I cannot do that and that I say NO straight up instead of going around in circles. Well, that would be a lie. I also do that. I try to avoid saying no as much as I can ('cept if you are really annoying and have a high-pitched voice like Nkuli from BBAmplified ). So I came up with a list of some of the things we come up with to avoid using the easiest but most elusive term in the world.

1. I have soo many assignments (pretty sure you will not do them anyway)
2. It was too last minute (yet you can go for a random drinking plan out of town)
3. I have this thing I gotta do..........
4. It's complicated (isnt it always)
5. I am not at home (couch potato)
6. I can't come, it's raining (umbrella???)
7. I heard there is going to be traffic (cz your dad is a traffic policeman?)
8. I am running errands for mum (okay, so this might actually be true :p)
9. Can we do it next week, I mean we were together yesterday.......
10. I am coming down with a flu *cough instinctively*

There are so many other lame excuses we use (yes we, I know you do it as well :p) just to avoid saying no. Which reminds me of this episode of Cory in the House on Disney (I think they cut the show) where Newt (this guy was tooo cool) was unable to say NO but he could actually utter a mouthful saying,"This is a disaster of epic proportions." Hahahaha, okay, that was too dowpe. I like this guy, Jason Dolley. He is the main reason I watch 'Good Luck Charlie' (okay, so Charlie is also toooo adorable ^_^).

No, I do not think I am too old for Disney so sue me :p Anyway, bottom line is we are too human to look someone in the face and say an automatic, stern NO and mean it ('cept for parents and dictators :D). Okay, the dictators part was lame but so are all of you for taking time to read this blog that does not add any value to your life whatsoever :/ Okay, I am joking, please come back another day. I love you #liespeopletell :D

As I sign out, booyah!
